Meet our Board of Directors
Damien McCann, Director of Sales & Marketing, has progressed through the ranks at Viatel, the leading Irish cloud and technology company and has developed a wealth of experience helping indigenous Irish companies and multinationals around cloud, security and telecoms strategies.
In 2016 Damien took over as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Viatel Ireland, an integral member of the leadership team tasked with transforming Viatel direction and quickly disrupting the traditional telecoms market in Ireland.
Damien is the current Chairperson of Guaranteed Irish.
Prior to his appointment as Managing Partner at Matheson, Michael spent over ten years as head of Matheson’s Financial Services practice.
Michael advises many of the world’s leading financial institutions, investment banks, asset management companies, broker-dealers and corporations carrying on business in Ireland or from Irish vehicles.
Michael was a member of the IFSC Funds Group established by the Department of An Taoiseach to consider and advise on legislative and other changes which are necessary or desirable to facilitate the continued growth of the Irish investment funds industry. He was also chairman of the legislative sub-group of the IFSC Funds Group.
Camilla Cullinane is a Tax Partner with KPMG. She has over 17 years’ experience advising a wide range of Irish and multinational clients across many sectors including agriculture, property, hospitality and manufacturing.
She works closely with businesses of all sizes and their owners on all aspects of taxation. She has significant experience in advising these clients on a wide variety of issues including structuring their corporate affairs, financing arrangements, global expansion plans, rewarding employees, exit strategies and intergenerational transfers of wealth.
Camilla is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland, the Irish Tax Institute and has recently completed the STEP Advanced Certificate in Advising the Family Business.
Niall joined Kingspan Group in June 2022, and was appointed MD for Kingspan Insulation Ireland in October.
Prior to joining Kingspan, Niall spent 16 years with Ryanair in a number of senior management roles.
Niall also previously worked with ICG plc and Andersen Business Consulting / KPMG.
He lives in Dublin with his wife and three children.
Alex Wilkes is the Country President for AstraZeneca Ireland. He has been with AstraZeneca since 2019, most recently serving as Regional Commercial Director for Respiratory and Immunology within the company’s EUCAN market team.
Before joining AstraZeneca, Alex spent over 18 years in senior leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry across the UK and Switzerland, including positions at Hoffmann-La Roche, Eli Lilly, and Merck.
Alex holds an undergraduate degree in Anatomy and Physiology from the University of Leeds and an MBA from Manchester Business School.
Julie Dorel is the Head of Communications at Musgrave, Ireland’s leading food retail and wholesale company.
She manages the external communication for Musgrave and its brands, SuperValu and Centra, and its corporate reputation and social responsibility.
Julie has over 20 years’ experience in international corporate marketing and communications.
Suzie O’Neill started in business in 2012. Initially selling professional make-up brushes, she founded the vegan Ayu Cosmetics brand two years later. The business now carries a full range of cosmetics and tanning products and employs 36 people.
Suzie joins the board of Guaranteed Irish to represent the sectors of beauty and wellbeing businesses across Ireland. The Board welcome’s this new sector which has seen tremendous growth in the last number of years in Ireland. It is hoped that by supporting this classification of business, Guaranteed Irish will put a spotlight on this sector.
Brid O’Connell, MMII, MMPRII, MSc (Hons), was appointed as CEO to Guaranteed Irish in July 2016.
Brid has a long career in marketing, branding, communications, and PR. She has welcomed the opportunity to add value to Guaranteed Irish members through a re-energised iteration of the brand in the context of a more diverse and inclusive version of Irishness. Application is open to all businesses in Ireland, be they home grown or international, support Jobs, Communities and Provenance in a sustainable manner.
